Can I have software installed in a computer classroom? |
| A: |
Arlington--Instructors may have specialized software installed on classroom computers by contacting the appropriate support office. For Arlington Original Building classrooms, please contact Demetrius Winston, Manager, Arlington Desktop Support at (703) 993-4959 or at his e-mail, dwinston@gmu.edu, a minimum of 10 DAYS in advance of your class or event. In Hazel Hall classrooms, please contact the Law School’s Computing Services office (Jose Coradin) at (703) 993-4855 or jcoradin@gmu.edu.
Fairfax-- Instructors may have specialized software installed on classroom computers by filling out a Special Software Request form available at http://classtech.gmu.edu. You will be required to deliver the physical media and licensing information no less than 3 business days before the software is needed.
Prince William--Instructors may have specialized software installed on classroom computers by contacting the Classroom Support Office at (703) 993-8499. Ten days advance notice is required.

I have a departmental site license for software. Can I have it installed in the computer labs for student use? |

Arlington – Yes. For Arlington Original Building classrooms, please put your request in by calling (703) 993-8870. You will need to take a copy of the license and the media to Desktop Support Office, located in suite 309 of the Original Building. In Hazel Hall, all software requests go to Law School Computing Services (Jose Coradin) at (703) 993-4855 or jcoradin@gmu.edu.
Fairfax-- Yes, the software can be installed by filling out a Special Software Request form available at http://classtech.gmu.edu. You will be required to deliver the physical media and licensing information.
Prince William -- Yes, the software can be installed by dropping off the software at the Classroom Support Office in Occoquan room 228. You will be required to deliver the physical media and licensing information. Please be sure to specify the lab location(s) in which you would like the application installed.

Is there any multimedia software available in classrooms or computer labs? |
| A: |
Arlington -- Multimedia software is provided in student computer lab, room 306 in original building. Look for computers with "Multimedia work station" sign on them.
Fairfax-- Multimedia software is provided in room 336, a 28-seat computer classroom in Innovation Hall. You may also access Multimedia software in the STAR lab in Johnson Center room 229.
Prince William -- Multimedia software is provided in student computer lab, BH148. Look for computers with "Multimedia work station" sign on them.

Is there any interactive software in the classrooms? |

Arlington – Original building room 242 and Hazel Hall room 222 are interactive classrooms. The interactivity is provided by use of SynchronEyes software.
Fairfax-- Innovation Hall has a total of 13 interactive classrooms. The interactivity is provided by use of SynchronEyes software.
Prince William—Bull Run Hall 250 and 252 are interactive classrooms. The interactivity is provided by use of SynchronEyes software.
